生物医学英文论文写作培训班通知

四川大学西部农村卫生发展研究中心，为提高我校医学相关专业师生的英文科技论文撰写能力，将于2012年6月18-22日举办生物医学英文论文写作培训班。
培训班邀请美籍生物医学论文编辑Chapin Rodríguez 博士及我校相关领域的专职教师，就如何选择研究题目和科研设计、如何申请项目和撰写标书、以及如何撰写英文论文等主题展开专题讲座。
本次培训主要面向我校临床医学、公共卫生、基础医学、药学口腔等教师和高年级研究生，就从事英文论文写作过程中遇到的实际问题予以指导。参加培训的人员需已有科研成果，但未在英文期刊上发表过文章。培训班的工作语言为英文+中文，授课形式为讲座、分组练习和现场问答等。
培训不收取费用，培训名额将控制在40人左右。欢迎感兴趣的老师和高年级研究生等报名参加。
培训时间：2012年6月18-22日，周一至周五，每天16：00-19：00。

Target audience

PhD or MD students in middle and late stages of their research project.
Note: The course is designed for people who are already working on a research project or who have just finished a project that they want to publish in English. The course is most effective when the person already has at least some data; thus, the course would probably not be effective for people with no research experience or who have yet to start a PhD or MD research project.

1. How to identify good research questions and design rigorous experiments to investigate them
2. How to write a strong research funding proposal to Chinese agencies
3. How to ensure that key statistical issues are "wired into" a research study from the beginning
4. How to write a scientific research article in English
• organizing the different parts of a research article
• using good grammar and style and avoiding common errors when writing scientific English
5. How scientific articles are evaluated and how to respond to respond to editor/referee comments
