生物医学英文论文写作培训班通知

四川大学西部农村卫生发展研究中心,为提高我校医学相关专业师生的英文科技论文撰写能力,将于2012年6月18-22日举办生物医学英文论文写作培训班。
培训班邀请美籍生物医学论文编辑Chapin Rodríguez 博士及我校相关领域的专职教师,就如何选择研究题目和科研设计、如何申请项目和撰写标书、以及如何撰写英文论文等主题展开专题讲座。
本次培训主要面向我校临床医学、公共卫生、基础医学、药学口腔等教师和高年级研究生,就从事英文论文写作过程中遇到的实际问题予以指导。参加培训的人员需已有科研成果,但未在英文期刊上发表过文章。培训班的工作语言为英文+中文,授课形式为讲座、分组练习和现场问答等。
培训不收取费用,培训名额将控制在40人左右。欢迎感兴趣的老师和高年级研究生等报名参加。
培训时间:2012年6月18-22日,周一至周五,每天16:00-19:00。

Note: As needed, one-on-one sessions will be arranged with individual students to work on their manuscripts during the day, outside of class.

Target audience

PhD or MD students in middle and late stages of their research project.
Note: The course is designed for people who are already working on a research project or who have just finished a project that they want to publish in English. The course is most effective when the person already has at least some data; thus, the course would probably not be effective for people with no research experience or who have yet to start a PhD or MD research project.

1. How to identify good research questions and design rigorous experiments to investigate them
2. How to write a strong research funding proposal to Chinese agencies
3. How to ensure that key statistical issues are "wired into" a research study from the beginning
4. How to write a scientific research article in English
• organizing the different parts of a research article
• using good grammar and style and avoiding common errors when writing scientific English
5. How scientific articles are evaluated and how to respond to respond to editor/referee comments
